the American Indian nations, to a nation, are opposed to this bill in its current form if we do not support the Young-Miller amendment to strike section 3. To a nation. This, to me, represents a shameful day if this Congress continues the shameful pattern of ignoring and stepping on the rights of native Americans in this country. Madam Speaker, there is a reason why this bill did not come in the current form that it is in from committee, because the Committee on Resources, who has jurisdiction over this issue, decided that we need to make sure that we consult with native American nations on what is their sovereign issue when it comes to this issue. Ladies and gentlemen of the House, please support the Young-Miller amendment.
