I thank the Senators from Alaska for their remarks about carbon monoxide violations in Fairbanks. Their hometown has dramatically reduced the number of exceedences over the past 20 years and should be recognized for this success. It is my hope that the EPA will continue to work with Fairbanks to devise pollution reduction strategies that recognize the unique conditions that exist in Fairbanks.
