In his admiration for the efforts that the Senator from Kentucky is making to defend our Constitution, I hope we can enlist the support of the Senator from Texas against an amendment that is clearly against the Constitution and restricting efforts there, and that is the so-called 'burning of the flag' amendment. We would be glad to have him sign up against that pernicious proposed addition--I hope it never passes here--in connection with the Constitution.
