Mr. Speaker, as someone with a background in law enforcement and someone who lives with the damaging effects of what guns can cause every day, I ask unanimous consent to bring up H.R. 1217, the bipartisan expanded background checks legislation, also to honor the memory of Doris Dooley, a victim of gun violence who never received a moment of action on the House floor.
