Randy is now studying to become a veterinarian while working full time. Unfortunately, success stories like his are all too rare, and we need to make sure that every child has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. This week I introduced the All Kids Matter Act, which directs funds to help children and families avoid the trauma of foster care placements in the first place and promotes family unity and stability. I would like to thank the gentlewoman from California (Ms. Bass) for organizing Foster Youth Shadow Day, and I urge all of my colleagues to join us in this endeavor next year. ___________________
