“I thank the gentleman for yielding. I rise in strong support of the Watson-Langevin amendment. I am happy to be working with Chairwoman Watson to join strong cybersecurity authorities with important updates to our federal information security policies, otherwise known as the FISMA Act, which is long outdated and needs this updating provision. But a portion of our amendment is drawn from my Executive Cyberspace Authorities Act and focuses on coordination of efforts to secure Federal networks, develop smarter cyberpolicies, and lead the world in standards and practices for responsible actions in cyberspace.
