I would like to begin by thanking Chairman McKeon for his leadership of the committee and for all of his years of dedication to national security. It is appropriate that this act is named after him. Mr. Chairman, the IETC portion of the bill authorizes approximately $7.6 billion for the U.S. Special Operations Command. Authorities necessary for Special Operations Forces to combat terrorism are extended in the bill, which also provides an additional $20 million for the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office, which gives our Special Operations Forces the cutting-edge capabilities and technologies that they need.…”
