I am equally amazed--if I may reclaim my time --by leaving this out. Certainly the jewelry manufacturers in Rhode Island would say, ``Put it in because I want them to clean their waste like I have to.'' Working men and women who have seen jobs lost because companies moved out of their communities would say, put it in. But my suspicion is that many people who are promoting this legislation are supportive of those multinational corporations who say: Listen, we want to avoid environmental policy because we want to get our production out of the United States and get into these countries, and we don't want them to have tough environmental standards.

Six months later, not a single objective has been achieved. Indeed, he has weakened our position in the Middle East and the world significantly.
The President has waged this war without public support or congressional consent, and it is far past time for accountability.
His administration removed Nicolás Maduro from power, threw its weight behind the unelected leadership that replaced Maduro, and is now attempting to use U.S. military assets and taxpayer-backed financing to boost a private oil venture.
President Trump’s effort to turn the U.S. military into an investor in Venezuelan oil is a blatant abuse of power and taxpayer dollars.
