Recent proposals from the Trump Administration in the last year to remove several types of military model firearms from the U.S. Munitions List under the jurisdiction of the State Department, and move them to the Commercial Control List, could jeopardize our ability, in my view, to determine the manner in which these weapons may be used and could ultimately lead to these weapons ending up in the hands of those who would threaten our Nation's security interests.
