On the recordJuly 23, 2019
Mr. Speaker, in closing, I am proud to have introduced H.R. 3311, the Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019 with the gentleman from Virginia (Mr. Cline), and I thank him for his strong leadership on this issue, as well as the gentleman from Georgia (Mr. Collins). This bipartisan legislation was unanimously approved by the Judiciary Committee and will address gaps in our bankruptcy system to provide financial relief to small businesses. This legislation is supported by the nonpartisan National Bankruptcy Conference, as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute. I urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass H.R. 3311. I yield back the balance of my time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion offered by the gentleman from Rhode Island (Mr. Cicilline) that the House suspend the rules and pass the bill, H.R. 3311, as amended. The question was taken; and (two-thirds being in the affirmative) the rules were suspended and the bill, as amended, was passed. A motion to reconsider was laid on the table. ____________________
