Mr. Chair, I rise as the designee of the gentleman from Texas (Mr. Pfluger). The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill (before the short title), insert the following: no designation of permian basin as nonattainment for ozone Sec. __. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to designate or redesignate the Permian Basin (or any portion thereof) as nonattainment for ozone under section 107(d) of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7407(d)). The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 1370, the gentleman from Pennsylvania (Mr. Perry) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes.
