He was responding to the provision in his amendment, not the provision in the amendment before us. You suggest the Republican bill forbids vouchers after 5 years.

I think a lot of Republicans are actually cheering the President for bringing this to light.
The Commission on Presidential Debates has to, you know, take the role that they're there, which is not the leader of the free world, but to actually facilitate information for the public so they can make good decisions.
I think the President just picked the wrong one. So I don't think that was a political wind shift. I just think he picked the wrong bill to veto.
