The last point my colleague made is one that is very important. A lot of people in the Senate, and even some across the country, have suggested that the Defense of Marriage Act will stand. There is a lot of legal opinion. The Senator from Utah spoke about how the Defense of Marriage Act probably will not stand. But your point is, even if the Defense of Marriage Act stands, the Defense of Marriage Act only protects States from other States forcing their laws on us. Your point is even if that State can resist that, you lose anyway. Can you explain that? I think that is a very important point. The Defense of Marriage Act really doesn't save marriage.
