The Senator from Washington brought in a case which certainly is a very distressing case, one that I can relate to on a personal basis, of a child who was discovered in utero with a fetal abnormality. The abortion performed on that child was done at 16 weeks. It was not a partial-birth abortion and under this legislation would continue to be legal.”
