Mr. Speaker, Savanna's Act is an important measure to ensure the safety of Native American women and men in communities across the United States, for all of the reasons discussed here today. We are so grateful to Representative Torres, Representative Newhouse, Representative Armstrong, and Representative Haaland, for moving this legislation forward. Mr. Speaker, I urge my colleagues to join me in supporting this bipartisan legislation, and I yield back the balance of my time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion offered by the gentlewoman from Pennsylvania (Ms. Scanlon) that the House suspend the rules and pass the bill, S. 227. The question was taken; and (two-thirds being in the affirmative) the rules were suspended and the bill was passed. A motion to reconsider was laid on the table. ____________________
