I am glad that we were able to pass the Fix NICS Bill in the omnibus, which will hopefully get more data shared and put into the system so we don't have people falling through the cracks, like we have seen so many times previously.

I find it extremely troubling that, at a time when our national debt is $19 trillion and counting, the Federal Government continues to throw money away with no regard for the consequences.
I think the first thing I need to do is again thank the committee and the Congress for the post-Sandy legislation that allows that mitigation money, that post-disaster mitigation money, to be identified much earlier in the process.
The first Federal building I went into, they had 1,500 square feet per employee.
I believe it should be a priority for Congress to address this gaping loophole.
