There’s already a retirement age that has been increasing gradually for a certain cohort, and that’s one of the changes you could make, and that would seem to make sense because people are living longer.

I think this requires a conversation, a broad conversation with the American people, talk about … what it is that we can do to change, to make good on the promises on Social Security, but also change the fiscal trajectory.

The question is, if someone has very high income during retirement age, should they really be able to access Social Security in the same way that someone in poverty does?

People like the four seasons here... But we have a lot of people who are relying on these programs… and we have seen fraud across the system in federal programs.
