H.R. 225--National Pediatric Research Network Act of 2013 H.R. 225 would authorize the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to establish a National Pediatric Research Network that could provide support for research and training at up to 20 pediatric research consortia for up to five years. The bill would require the Director of NIH to establish a data coordinating center for the consortia. Upon request by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), consortia participating in the program would be required to provide assistance to the CDC to establish or expand surveillance systems, such as patient registries.…
