for 7 months, Americans have been wondering why there is a deafening silence from the feminist organizations in Washington. Despite their loud and organized opposition to the allegations against Justice Clarence Thomas, their outrage at Senator Packwood, nary a word was said about activity in the White House. But look at the headlines. The feminists have finally found their tongues and they support the President. In fact, they are proud of him. Barbara Laden, of the Independent Women's Forum, charges that the left- wing feminist groups are, ``willing to sell out the real interest of women to play partisan politics. It is an embarrassment. They're actually betraying feminism,'' she says. Mr. Speaker, misbehavior, whether by the left or right, is wrong. I am sorry to see that so-called feminist leaders cannot find their moral outrage when the offense is on the left.
