I applaud the co-sponsors for working through the committee to address serious stakeholder concerns by taking a new approach in the draft we are discussing today.

Because of the Affordable Care Act, now over 20 million people in this country who were in that situation literally overnight are no longer in that situation.

Today's hearing is an important discussion that will examine the areas where we can improve our national trauma system.
