There will maintain a 6-month grace period for the loans. The Perkins loans total will be $6 billion and the student aid will not be cut. The college work study program will be maintained, the supplemental education opportunity grants will be fully funded, and the TRIO Program, which benefits minority and disadvantaged students, is fully funded at its current level of $463 million. So the facts are different than what you have heard.”
