The Democratic health care plan that will be forced upon the American people this weekend is, in reality, a jobs bill, a really bad jobs bill. What is the evidence that this is true? This bill will result in the firing of 30,000 individuals from jobs who currently work in the private student loan industry. This bill will bankrupt rural and underserved urban hospitals, eliminating both jobs and access to quality care. So where are the jobs, Mr. Speaker? This bill will create jobs. This includes 16,000 jobs at the IRS to service the health care police to determine if your health care plan meets the health care czar's demands. This bill has already created a job for Senator Scott Brown, and I am confident, if this bill is forced on the American people, a surprising number of jobs will be created for new Republican Members of Congress in November.
