I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 429, after line 4, insert the following: ``(16) Chronic wasting disease.--Research and extension grants may be made under this section for projects relating to treating, mitigating, or eliminating chronic wasting disease.''. Page 429, line 5, strike ``(16)'' and insert ``(17)''. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 891, the gentleman from Pennsylvania (Mr. Thompson) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Pennsylvania.
