The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 235, after line 2, insert the following: Subtitle R--Other Provisions SEC. 2321. SENSE OF CONGRESS. It is the sense of the Congress that recording unique device identifiers at the point-of-care in electronic health record systems could significantly enhance the availability of medical device data for postmarket surveillance purposes. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 350, the gentleman from Pennsylvania (Mr. Fitzpatrick) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes.
