I would like to thank Ranking Member Pallone and Chairman Pitts for their support of this amendment. This amendment will, as I said, take a small step toward improving medical device safety in the United States. As I said earlier in my remarks, I have seven amendments that did not make it out of Rules Committee, and I hope to be able to work with the chairman and the ranking member on those issues as well. I urge my colleagues to support the amendment, and I yield back the balance of my time.
