Mr. Chair, I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 464, after line 5, insert the following: (e) Installation of Secondary Cockpit Barriers of Existing Aircraft.--Not later than 36 months after the date of the submission of the report of subsection (d), the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration shall, taking into consideration the final reported findings and recommendations of the aviation rulemaking committee, issue a final rule requiring installation of a secondary cockpit barrier on each commercial passenger aircraft operated under the provisions of part 121 of title 14, Code of Federal Regulations. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 597, the gentleman from Pennsylvania (Mr. Fitzpatrick) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Pennsylvania.
