Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 10 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day, and there be a period of morning business for 1 hour equally divided and controlled between the two leaders or their designees, with the majority controlling the first half and the Republicans controlling the final half, and with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each; that following morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session and resume consideration of the nomination of Patricia Smith postcloture; that the time during any adjournment, recess, or period of morning business count postcloture; finally, I ask consent that the Senate recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. for the weekly caucus luncheons. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Is there objection? The Chair hears none, and it is so ordered. ____________________
