I thank Representative Gottheimer for his amendment and for his leadership in addressing the needs of our country's veterans. Madam Speaker, this amendment will help community action agencies meet the needs of veterans, particularly homeless veterans. Although many community action agencies already implement other Federal programs serving veterans, this amendment will emphasize that all eligible entities are able and equipped to serve veterans and their communities. Again, I thank my colleague for offering this amendment, and I thank the ranking member for supporting it as well.
