Absolutely. Kids can't learn if they are hungry, if they are homeless, or if they are sick. Those programs really matter. I thank Representative Hayes for leading this. We must protect the Department of Education. It is the future of our children. More than 90 percent of the students in this country attend public schools. It is a good investment, and that is true from early childhood to the K-12 system and higher education, as well. Mr. Speaker, I thank Mrs. Hayes. I am with her in the fight.
