I applaud his efforts to make this a fair bill, not only for the taxpayers of the country but also by addressing the out-of-control spending that is costing our children their future earnings. I am concerned that the current funding level of the program will not allow the Federal Government to fully fund continuing multiyear grants. Under the administration's request, the title III grants will be phased out over 2 years, with public community colleges cut out of the system immediately.
