They therefore knew exactly what they were doing. They heard our peaceful calls and fired anyway. When the fence fell, and the mothers continued to protest peacefully from the side, the police threw tear gas at us. We had to [scatter] into the streets, stumbling, trying to keep our masks on, trying to avoid more gas and cars. When we attempted to regroup, the Feds had arrived. Some of us just trying to make our way to our cars, found our way blocked by federal agents in full combat gear. Full combat gear. They too fired gas at unarmed protesters, including myself. I yelled ``You are in violation of the US Constitution. You are in violation of the Bill of Rights. I own my home in Portland, Oregon. I pay my taxes in Portland, Oregon.…”
