On the recordFebruary 25, 2010
I thank the Senator. I have before me a chart on workers losing Federal unemployment benefits at the beginning of March. It notes ``Workers Exhausting Regular State Benefits without Additional Federal Extensions'' as 380,000 workers. Then there is an additional column that says ``Workers Prematurely Exhausting Their Federal Benefits'' at the start of March: 813,000. I am rounding off. It has a ``total'' column that says, for the United States as a whole: 1,193,838 individuals lose their benefits. As I am reading this chart, my impression is they are losing their benefits at the end of February if we do not have an extension. Am I reading this correctly?
