I thank the gentlewoman from Pennsylvania for her amendment. We are not going to object to the amendment. The exchanges already do a lot of this reporting, and more information is better than less. Now, I want to talk about these short-term, State-regulated, limited duration insurance policies because I think I have got a chart here, and we will put it in the Record that there are 27 of our States, Mr. Chairman--27--that have decided that short-term plans are good for their people to be able to take advantage of. There are States from Alaska to Wyoming, from Kansas to Iowa, to Idaho and Pennsylvania where you can go up to 364 days. Now, there are 12 other States that have said, you know: We want to limit these to 6 months. That includes places like Colorado and Arizona and Nevada and Oklahoma, North Dakota. Then there are eight States, Mr. Chairman, that said: No, we want 3 months. We think that is all we need in places like Oregon, Hawaii, or New Mexico. Then there are four States--California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York--that said: No, we are just not going to allow any of these options in our State. Guess what. That is federalism. They get that right. Now, I know my friends on the other side of the aisle would like to take away that ability for these short-term duration, State-regulated plans and remove options from consumers, and I don't think that is the way to go.
