Due to a prior commitment to speak at an event in my district that was set prior to the late change in the schedule by the Majority, I was unable to attend votes. I thank my friend and colleague from Illinois for her support of this legislation and her work on it. Once again, I urge passage of the legislation, and I yield back the balance of my time.
I want to make sure that it is a responsible way for all parties, which is why a number of us are very concerned about the administration's recent support of the waiver to release and transfer the IP for the vaccine.
