We will allow the public to know what we are voting on, and we will actually be able to start building on the foundation of things that make a difference: rebuilding and renewing America, closing the income gap, allowing those most fortunate in our economy to be able to pay a little more so that we don't have to sacrifice services for the elderly, the poor, and students, and be able to rebuild and renew this country. I am looking forward to that opportunity for Democrats to take control, and this sorry Congress cannot end fast enough. Mr. Speaker, I urge rejection of this proposal.
