I have worked for 5 years with a broad coalition of stakeholders that's not partisan, that are committed to working together on a vision for how we're going to rebuild and renew the country, how we're going to revitalize the economy, and how we make our communities more livable, our families safer, healthier, and more economically secure. If we're able to use this flawed process and sadly inadequate bill as a springboard, maybe in some ways it will have been worth it.
