“I appreciate the gentleman's courtesy. Mr. Speaker, H.R. 1 is the most significant democracy reform package in a generation. It will make it easier to vote--regardless of income, ability, geography, or race; ends the domination of big money in politics; and enacts tougher ethics standards to ensure that public officials actually work for the American people.
