I just had my first two grandchildren, and I would like some day for these two little boys to be able to see Miami and not have to be snorkeling. Now, your reference to the defense amendment that was passed makes me think of what happened in North Carolina, where the legislature tried to mandate that the State agencies could not use the best science to make choices, the best information to protect the coastline.
