Mr. Chairman, this is an excellent bill, and we need it in Oregon. We have 30 million acres of trees. We absolutely need what this bill would provide.

“The horrific wildfires in the West have cost families their property, homes, and in some cases, their jobs,” Rep. Bentz said.

I think it’s highly unlikely that you’d see much of any immediate benefit.

And then you stack the California subsidy on top of that and perhaps the Oregon subsidy on top of that.
