The final vote was 15 to 4. I ask unanimous consent the Senate proceed to executive session for the purpose of consideration of Calendar No. 588, Philip Coyle, to be Associate Director of the Office of Science and Technology; that the nomination be confirmed, the motions to reconsidered be considered made and laid upon the table, that no further motions be in order, the President be immediately notified of the Senate's action, and that any statements relating to the nominee be printed at the appropriate place in the Record.
