This is a matter of national security. This amendment would force the United States to be 100 percent reliant on the Russian and European suppliers of enriched uranium, a compound critical to America's energy and national security needs. That's just unacceptable. I don't have anything against the Russians or Europeans, our friends, but it would be a strategic malfeasance to rely on them.
