To the Senate of the United States:In response to a resolution of the Senate of the 31st ultimo, requesting the President to communicate to the Senate whether any supervisor or supervisors of the census appointed by and with the advice and consent of the Senate have been removed from office by him or with his consent, etc., I transmit herewith a report from the Secretary of the Interior.
