“I rise to talk about my vote on the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the Supreme Court. Sadly, over the past couple of weeks, the confirmation process has become a bitter partisan fight that has deeply divided this body and has divided our country in the midst of all the passion, the anger, and the emotion from both sides.
