The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows: A bill (H.R. 5663) to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to give authority to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, to destroy counterfeit devices. There being no objection, the committee was discharged and the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
