I rise today to review some of the areas that we have been involved in the past couple of weeks that we have gotten back since the break, and particularly to look forward to what we are going to be doing during the next 2 months, because this is going to be an extraordinarily busy time, a very exciting time, and, frankly, an extremely challenging time for House Republicans on a number of fronts. I think, first of all, it is important to look at the big picture and to remind ourselves, and, of course, I am not speaking directly to the American people, but to you, Mr. Speaker, and perhaps they will hear also, but to remind ourselves that as we responsibly cut Government, which is what the American people want us to do, we also intend to grow America. Our plan is based on the principle that America's greatness is based on its people, not its bureaucracy, and that its greatest accomplishments lie in front of us and not behind us.
