I want to thank the gentleman for taking the time to talk about this very important section of our bill. I think we are all disturbed about the fact that the President came here and he gave a beautiful speech where he talked about all of the things that he wanted to see done, but you know, it is kind of like the middle-income tax cut. The President said the centerpiece of any economic program that he will present to the American people will be a middle-income tax cut. Of course, we still do not have it. But the Republicans are going to give everybody in this country a chance to vote on a tax credit for children, paid for with a budget proposal $150 billion under the President's by downsizing government. We reduce the deficit, then give the American family a piece of those savings. After all, they are the ones that sent all of the money here to begin with. I wonder if the gentleman might have a comment on the tax credit.
