Not theory. The Department of Justice taking the phone of a sitting Member of this body. Not theory. Fourteen whistleblowers coming to our office talking about the political nature of the Justice Department. Not theory. Those are facts. That is scary stuff. Now this bill, if passed, will give that agency $140 million each year for the next 5 years. That is what we want to do? For that reason alone, we should be against this legislation.
