Look, this amendment is real simple. It recognizes a fundamental fact: Parents make better decisions than government does. And even though a few parents in some situations make poor decisions about the well-being of their children, in the vast majority of cases they make infinitely better decisions than the government, bureaucrats and politicians ever make. That is why this is good public policy and why I support the amendment.
