“I would just point out, the chairman of the committee said that Democrats rejected Senator Scott's bill yesterday. Not all of them. Not all of them. A couple of them voted for it--bipartisan support. In fact, that is the only proposal that has bipartisan support right now--Senator Scott's bill. In fact, it has tri-partisan support because one of the Independents in the Senate voted for it. So it is not accurate to try to characterize Senator Scott's legislation the way the chairman did.
