In the midst of a shutdown, we can’t have a federal court telling the president how he has to triage the situation.

My message was just: do whatever you can to work with us to actually make this peace agreement stick, because it’s not going to be easy.

We need to lean into this new coalition, do a better job serving them, and that's how we get them to show in these midterm elections, so that we can win.

We’re going to keep on working to make a decent life affordable in this country, and that’s the metric by which we’ll ultimately be judged in 2026 and beyond.
